Welcome!

I’m Michelle, owner and operator of Heart-Centered Virtual Assistance.

Thanks for stopping by!

Your work is to discover your work, and then, with all your heart, to give yourself to it.

Discovering My Work

I have excelled in high-level administrative roles my entire career. There were even signs in childhood, such as when my 5th-grade teacher asked me to help other students organize their desks, or when I started a club for doing good deeds and got a thrill out of things like deciding on “projects” and how we’d accomplish them, taking “minutes” of the meetings we had during recess, and getting a special rubber stamp for our club made with my allowance money.

Before starting Heart-Centered Virtual Assistance, I worked with executives in the non-profit and corporate environments in administrative and project-management support. I loved being the right-hand person to the people I supported, managing and being on top of all the details, proactively contributing and making improvements, and the relationships that developed with the people I supported that continues to this day.

Now, I get to experience all that and more while working in my own business. My clients are up to some amazing things in the world, and nothing gives me more joy in my work than being their trusted behind-the-scenes partner and champion, the relationships that develop over time in working closely with them, and the pride I feel in watching them make the differences in the world they are meant to make.

…I’ve discovered my work, and, with all my heart, I’ve been giving myself to it ever since.

Why “Heart-Centered” Virtual Assistance?

When contemplating what to name my business, I couldn’t think of anything I loved better than Heart-Centered Virtual Assistance. I see work, as everything else in life, as an opportunity for spiritual practice. Every day is an opportunity to practice living up to my values and aligning with the highest and best of who I am. I’m not perfect. But I am gratified at the end of every day that I am able to live from a place of love, authenticity, excellence, and contribution, and express that through the work I do with clients.

I also chose “Heart-Centered” for my business name because I can be a real sap. I’m sensitive, kind, open-hearted, transparent, genuine, and relationship-oriented. I can’t help but genuinely care about my clients, their work, their success, and even their well-being (and I love that the work I do contributes to that well-being by giving them more time to spend in their personal lives, in addition to their areas of gifting in their businesses.)

In addition to the heart, I’ve got the skills.
